Battery
The Sting MX5 is equipped with a powerful 72V/40Ah lithium-ion battery. This is the most robust battery in the Talaria lineup, enhancing the MX5 Pro's range, acceleration, and top speed.
Its battery pack ensures outstanding performance and longevity for all your off-road adventures. Plus, it is easily swappable with a fully charged spare, offering virtually unlimited range.
Controller
The controller of the Sting MX5 is a marvel of engineering, blending high-quality hardware, excellent design, and advanced programming. It offers outstanding resistance to transient current impact and superior anti-interference capabilities. With precise EABS voltage and discharge current control, thorough error detection, and strong protection against extreme temperatures, the controller guarantees maximum reliability. Its anti-runaway function and smart energy regeneration enhance each ride, delivering both exhilarating power and safety, as well as exceptional range.
Brakes
An improved MX-style braking system raises the bar for both performance and safety. This upgraded setup features a durable 220mm disc with a 3mm thickness, providing excellent heat dissipation and exceptional stopping power. A larger, more effective caliper and a reinforced brake hose enable the MX5 to endure the demands of intense off-road conditions.
A reengineered master cylinder enhances braking responsiveness, allowing for precise control with each lever pull. These enhancements collectively increase braking power, giving riders unparalleled confidence and control.
Powertrain
The Sting MX5 comes with a custom-designed powertrain specifically created for a lightweight electric MX bike. Its core is a high-efficiency, brushless internal permanent magnet (IPM) motor, made with high-quality magnet materials and advanced engineering. Paired with precisely engineered gears, the gearbox delivers exceptional quietness and durability, greatly outperforming conventional belt drive systems. The Customer assumes all liability and risk associated with the use of Personal Electric Vehicles and holds iScoot, its owners, and its employees free from any liability caused by their use.
By purchasing any personal electric vehicle (e-scooter, e-bike, or other e-ride) from iScoot, you also:
- Agree that you are solely responsible and liable for any violation of laws, rules, regulations, and/or ordinances while riding the vehicle.
- Agree that you are solely responsible and liable for any and all consequences, claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, penalties, legal fees and judgements of any kind, whether foreseeable or not and whether known or unknown, arising from your actions while riding any vehicle bought from iScoot.
- Acknowledge that you must wear an approved helmet meeting the relevant Australian standard at all times while riding, whether required by law or not.
- Acknowledge that accidents, personal injury, death and other harm can occur when operating a personal electric vehicle, including from falls, collisions, hidden obstacles, varying terrain and aggravation of existing health conditions.
- Acknowledge that you have been warned of these possibilities and assume all risk relating to operation of the vehicle. This provision constitutes a "risk warning" for the purposes of any applicable law and may operate to exclude or limit any rights you might otherwise have against iScoot.
I agree to the above terms of purchase and safety, and acknowledge my responsibilities under these terms.
I will have my vehicle serviced regularly, especially at 3, 6 and 12 months. Failure to follow a service plan may void supplier warranties.
I will familiarise myself with current state and territory laws regarding personal electric vehicles, and will not hold iScoot Australia responsible for any infringements or breaches of traffic and road laws.
