Before using this vehicle, check the applicable local laws relating to your intended use of the vehicle on roads, footpaths, shared paths, bicycle lanes and bicycle paths.
It is the complete responsibility of the customer to ensure that any products purchased are operated in accordance with all country, state, and local laws. The Customer assumes all liability and risk associated with the use of Personal Electric Vehicles and holds iScoot, its owners, and its employees free from any liability caused by their use.
By purchasing any personal electric vehicle (e-scooter, e-bike, or other e-ride) from iScoot, you also:
- Agree that you are solely responsible and liable for any violation of laws, rules, regulations, and/or ordinances while riding the vehicle.
- Agree that you are solely responsible and liable for any and all consequences, claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, penalties, legal fees and judgements of any kind, whether foreseeable or not and whether known or unknown, arising from your actions while riding any vehicle bought from iScoot.
- Acknowledge that you must wear an approved helmet meeting the relevant Australian standard at all times while riding, whether required by law or not.
- Acknowledge that accidents, personal injury, death and other harm can occur when operating a personal electric vehicle, including from falls, collisions, hidden obstacles, varying terrain and aggravation of existing health conditions.
- Acknowledge that you have been warned of these possibilities and assume all risk relating to operation of the vehicle. This provision constitutes a "risk warning" for the purposes of any applicable law and may operate to exclude or limit any rights you might otherwise have against iScoot.
I agree to the above terms of purchase and safety, and acknowledge my responsibilities under these terms.
I will have my vehicle serviced regularly, especially at 3, 6 and 12 months. Failure to follow a service plan may void supplier warranties.
I will familiarise myself with current state and territory laws regarding personal electric vehicles, and will not hold iScoot Australia responsible for any infringements or breaches of traffic and road laws.
