What are the electric moped laws on the Sunshine Coast?

The Sunshine Coast has some strict rules for riding e-mopeds compared to other areas around Australia, so you need to make sure you've brushed up on the laws before riding. Here's what you need to know:

• The maximum speed of riding is 12 km/h on footpaths; you must stay left and give way to pedestrians
• On bike paths and lanes, you must keep your speed to less than 25 km/h in on-road bike lanes and roads with speed limits of less than 50 km/h
• You are permitted to drive on streets with speed limits of less than 50 km/h and no dividing lines; you must keep far left
• E-mopeds must include brakes, lights, and reflectors, with a white front light and red rear light being visible from 200 m, and the rear reflector being visible from 50 m
