Before you start adding scooter products to your shopping cart, there’s some things you should know first. We’ve prepared a summary for you to start with, but it’s important to make yourself aware of all the issues.
Can you ride electric scooters in Gold Coast?
Yes! The Gold Coast comes under Queensland legislation, which allows electric scooters to be used throughout the State. Please check the Gold Coast City Council website for any information specific to the Gold Coast.
As one of the most recognised beaches in the world, crowds flock to QLD so they can experience the sun, and fun found only on the Gold Coast. The weather on the Gold Coast is mostly perfect for scooting – warm, sunny. You might come across some rain during the wet season (November to March) but this is standard sub-tropical weather for Queensland’s south east corner.
The terrain is mostly flat and level, unless you travel inland into the Gold Coast Hinterland which is part of the Tweed Range. There’s plenty of gorgeous sandy beaches, and hinterland waterfalls that you can checkout during your travels, and some great tourist attractions on the way.
Be on the lookout for salt and sand particles, as they can get in to your scooter motor, gears or battery, and cause damage – you can talk with one of our customer service staff about which accessories to purchase, to prevent excess damage to your e scooters.
We stock a range of electric scooters to meet your needs, as well as accessories to make your scoot EPIC- one thing we don’t have is sunscreen! This is a MUST for everyone who plans activities in the sun, and so is a hat that functions with your helmet!
Please make sure you read the relevant legal restrictions, as an e scooter is a little different to other transport such as bikes, ebikes or skateboards.
